A general meeting of the YVHS Athletic Boosters, Inc. was held on March 1, 2006 at 7:10 p.m. in Concord, California for the purpose of a monthly meeting. President, Stan Wilson, called the meeting to order. The meeting was held in the Ygnacio Valley High School library. Written notice of this meeting was sent via email and announced on the web site to all general members of record on the books of the corporation at such time and with such contents as required by the Bylaws of the corporation.

Five out of eight board members were present, constituting a quorum of the full Board.
APPROVAL OF PAST
MINUTES
The minutes of the February 1, 2006 meeting were passed out to all board members. The motion was made, seconded, and the vote approved the February minutes with the correction made to the eScrip earnings for Oct. 2005 (stated as $491.10, corrected to $417.43).
TREASURERÕS REPORT
Jim Davis submitted the TreasurerÕs Report as of February 27, 2006 (see attached). He reported that $3,470 was deposited to be credited towards the baseball loan. Crab Feed deposits = $5,435. Committed funds remain the same as noted in January 4,2006 meeting minutes. The TreasurerÕs Report was approved unanimously.
OLD BUSINESS:
SITE COUNCIL Ð No report available.
ESCRIP Ð Rob Kinnard reported that the November 2005 earnings were $501.42. One new member signed up.
MEMBERSHIP Ð Kellye Dykeman reported that there is one new member from swim team with hopefully a few more upcoming.
TEAM REPORT Ð
á Wed. 3/8 Winter Sports Awards at 7 p.m. in MUR.
á BoyÕs Basketball record 13-13.
á GirlÕs Basketball had 9 wins overall.
á Wrestling team placed 3rd in BVAL. Shane King will be in the State Tournament.
á GirlÕs Soccer won 5 overall. Coach will be holding clinics during the summer.
á BoyÕs Soccer program is improving.
á Varsity Baseball beat St. JosephÕs last Sat.
á GirlÕs Softball has 27 players for JV/Varsity
á BoyÕs Tennis lost to Freedom, but had close matches. Athletic Dept. purchased new shirts for the team.
á BoyÕs Volleyball has 20 players for JV/Varsity.
á The Track Team will practice at PH Middle School 2 days a week.
á Swimming has upcoming time trials against Concord. Competition against Clayton Valley this Friday.
TRACK/FIELD UPDATE Ð Mario Balestrieri reported that the foundation was down for the new turf. They are just waiting for the rain to stop in order to lay the new turf. There was discussion regarding the scoreboard and advertising. Mario will talk to Bob Johnson regarding NorthgateÕs advertising on their scoreboard (how much money they charge and for how long). Marci will talk to Cathy Wayne regarding what agreement was made between Safeway and YV for their advertising. Rob Kinnard will follow up with Rocco regarding his interest in advertising on the scoreboard. It was suggested that charging $1,000/year was reasonable. Mario will find out the specifics on size of advertising space.
SPIRIT WEAR Ð No report.
WEBSITE UPDATE Ð Spring SportsÕ Schedules will be given to Debbie to post on the website.

BUSINESS:
REQUESTS FROM TEAMS Ð The Swim Team requested help in purchasing new stopwatches, and reimbursement for a new pace clock they bought to replace what was stolen from their storage closet at Pleasant Hill Middle School. Mario agreed to purchase 18 new stopwatches. The Athletic Boosters voted unanimously to reimburse the swim team $350 for the new pace clock and stand that was bought.
CRAB FEED REPORT Ð Gregg Syrovatka reported that committee mtgs. will be on Feb. 6, March 13, and March 20. They are in the process of getting donations.
ROUND TABLE:
Gregg Syrovatka suggested circulating an email notifying YV families when the Athletic Boosters give money to the various sports teams. This could be used to help encourage families to join and to be informed as to how important the Boosters are in supporting YV athletics.
Don Morrison suggested focusing on the parking lot area during Campus Clean-Up Day.
As follow-up to concerns expressed last month, Jim Davis mentioned that the condition of the menÕs restroom in the gym was much improved.
The next Athletic Booster meeting is scheduled for April 5th , at 7 p.m. in the YVHS Library.
There was no further business and the meeting was adjourned at 8:15 p.m.
